Program Description
Our psychology graduates have a strong record of employment in clinical practice, business management, marketing, human resources, coaching, counselling, academic research and teaching, to name but a few.
Psychology is the science of behaviour and the mind. It uses a variety of scientific methods to explore key areas, including: the influence that our biology has on behaviour; the ways in which we develop from early infancy to adulthood; the ways in which we perceive, think, solve problems and make decisions; and the way we interact with each other. All of these approaches enable theories to be developed and tested within psychology. Our programmes focus on real world issues and consider how psychological theory and knowledge can be applied to resolve them.
The major professional psychology career pathway in Malaysia is as a clinical psychologist, but a psychology degree provides transferable skills in analytical thinking, communication and teamwork. These skills lead to a wide range of occupational roles in commercial organisations, the non-governmental sector, educational institutions, and government.
