About The Programme

 

The Diploma in Computer Science (DCSI) at Sunway College specifically formulated to equip students with knowledge, technical skills and personal qualities for a career in Data Science related field or for furthering their academic pursuit in degree programmes.  Students will be equipped with functional competencies relate to the technical competencies in utilising and adapting to new Big Data technologies to help graduates excel at work and further study.Through DCSI, students will also develop data science focused knowledge in programming, mathematics and statistics, databases, data modelling, data visualisation, data analytics, business management and marketing, and software implementation.DCSI graduates will acquire major skills in communication through different platforms and under various conditions. With communication competencies, they will also be well-suited to develop their role as a leader or a team player in the workplace, at home, in different social groups, and in the general society.Sunway College will also assist students in their development of entrepreneurial skills to maximise career success.

Assessment & Examinations

The major objective of the assessment and examination procedures is to improve student learning and measure their comprehension.

 

Final grades reflect:

– 60% Coursework

– 40% Final Examination

Entry Requirements

SPM / O-Level:

Pass with a minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics or Additional Mathematics

UEC:

Pass with minimum 3 Bs including Mathematics or Additional Mathematics

Other Qualifications:

Any other equivalent qualifications accredited by MQA
