Program Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Chemistry with Honours combines fundamental chemistry knowledge like physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry with extra petroleum industry-related knowledge. The program focuses on preparing students with detailed theory knowledge, petrochemical plant visits, or case studies related to the petrochemical industry. Courses related to the petrochemical fields offered include Petroleum Chemistry, Chemical Technology Principles, Petroleum Refining Processes, Petrochemicals, and Oil Spill Control. In addition to these core courses, students can opt to take elective courses related to the petrochemicals field like Polymer Engineering and Oil and Gas Engineering.
Objectives
The objectives (Program Educational Objectives, PEO) of the Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Chemistry with Honours are to produce:
- professional chemists highly knowledgable in the theoretical and practical aspects as well as versatile and competitive to lead the chemistry field at the national and global levels;
- researchers with research knowledge and skills for innovations and further studies;
- graduates with the potential to be very creative, ethical, and high-integrity officers or entrepreneurs in their respective fields.

Entry Requirement
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Have received a National Higher School Certificate (or an A Level or the equivalent of 12 years of primary education) with the minimum grade of 80% and above, OR Have obtained a Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00; AND Have fulfilled specific entrance requirements for some programs, particularly in the sciences field.

International students must be proficient in the English Language as this language
