Foundation in Accounting – UNITEN
A student who has completed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), O-Level, IGCSE, UEC, or other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia. Keen interest in Accounting field of study and want to pursue any of these degree programmes:

Foundation in Accounting is designed to prepare you for professional careers and to further your study to a Bachelor Degree in the related field. We adopt comprehensive and innovative content and teaching techniques, which are designed towards expanding the frontiers of learning and inculcating a probing mind. You will be challenged to develop into multi-skilled professionals possessing mental, intellectual, and emotional fortitude to succeed in life.
The courses offered are being specifically structured to equip students with a strong foundation in Basic Accounting, Basic Business Administration, Basic Finance as well as other related courses before they embark on the Bachelor of Accounting (Hons), Bachelor in Business Administration programmes such as BBA (Hons) in Human Resource Management and the Bachelor of Finance (Hons) programme.
50 credit hours of subjects are being taught in three semesters. This Foundation in Accounting programme can be completed in 1 year.
This programme is delivered at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN),Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus (KSHAS).

- Tuition Fees: USD4,500 (RM18,000) per programme.
Other Fees: - VISA & Application Fee: USD787.50 (RM3,150) one-time payment
- Full Registration + Miscellaneous Fee: USD1,650 (RM6,600) one-time payment
- Medical Insurance: USD37.50 (RM150)/year
- Resource Fee (Library, Student Activity & Service): USD390 (RM780) twice a year
- Deposit for Accommodation: USD62.50 (RM250) one-time deposit payment
- Monthly Fee for Accommodation: Starting from USD67.50 (RM270)/month.
and if the international student (for Foundation) does not fulfill the English language requirement such as minimum score for IELTS or TOEFL, there will be additional fees of:
- Test of English Proficiency (TEP) : USD25 (RM100) one-time payment
- English Short Course (ESC) : USD1,166 (RM4,664)/semester.
Flexible payment options are available, where student may:
- pay full in advance, or
- by monthly installments, or
- pay full 2 weeks before the semester’s final examination.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- O-Level
Pass O-Level from institution recognised by Government of Malaysia with a minimum credit (grade C) in 5 subjects inclusive Mathematics. - IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education)
Pass IGCSE from an institution recognised by the Government of Malaysia with minimum credit (grade C) in 5 subjects inclusive Mathematics. - UEC (Unified Examination Certificate)
Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in 4 subjects inclusive Mathematics / Advance Mathematics. - Others
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia.
ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS
For International Students:
International students are required to have one of the English proficiency score stated below to enrol in UNITEN. Foundation students who do not fulfill this English requirement are required to sit for the Test of English Proficiency (TEP) before they could enroll in the English Short Course (ESC).

Achieve Band 3 - IELTS – International English Language Testing System
Achieve 5.0 - TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language
Achieve 500 (TOEFL) or 42 (TOEFL Internet Based Test)
