Student who has completed Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), A-Level, Matriculation, Foundation, Diploma, UEC, International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), HND(UK) Diploma, SAME\/WACE\/AUSMAT or other equivalent qualifications recognised by Government of Malaysia. Keen interest in Informatics field of study especially in the area of Visual Media. May complete education at Bachelor level to become professional or entrepreneurs, or may pursue in related Postgraduate <\/span><\/p>\n

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Visual Media) (Hons) programme is specially designed to nurture and create creative-technocrats, with a focus on the broader study of all digital media applications, imparting the technical skills used in designing and editing digital media. This unique programme bridges the technology realm and the world of creative digital arts. This link enables students to develop expressive artistic work as ramifications of using state-of-the-art computing technology. This one of a kind undergraduate programme combines studies in IT, digital arts practice and the exploration of new media in the 21st century.<\/span><\/p>\n

The programme establishes a progressive journey beginning from the realms of fundamental IT with subjects like, software development, networking and web design, databases and programming; towards the creative media\u2019s domain such as history of art, the social and cultural applications of digital media, typography, storyboarding, computer animations, digital game design and development, 2D design, and 3D modelling.<\/span><\/p>\n

This unique mix of courses will empower students with the knowledge and skills needed in producing their own creative digital media contents, hence pushing the boundaries of traditional IT disciplines and creative visual media: \u201cWhere digital art meets computing technology\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

120 credit hours of subjects are being taught in nine semesters. This Bachelor of Information Technology (Visual Media) (Hons) programme can be completed in 3 years.<\/span><\/p>\n
