Contribute to the body of knowledge and the advancement of business and management science by becoming an expert in business, management, marketing, human resources, accounting, finance, or entrepreneurship

Prepare students for academic careers in colleges, universities, and high-level positions in government, public, and private sectors; as well as consultancy work in the areas of business research and management advisory services, which will help to build the country’s intellectual capital and wealth, as well as contribute to the national and global economy’s growth.

Students can help establish and build a pool of eminent scholars focusing on national and international research by contributing to the government-industry national agenda

 

Entry Requirements

A recognised Masters degree in the relevant field AND meet any of these

 

English requirements:

• English requirements:

• Masters degree conducted in English**; OR
• Credit 6 in MCE / SPM / GCE level; OR
• MUET Band 5 or 6 / TOEFL score of 550 / IELTS score of 6.0; OR
• Equivalent score from any of the above obtained at undergraduate level at a recognised university**.

**A copy of the document from the university is required during submission as a proof of English proficiency.

Any other qualification with relevant working experience will be considered prior to approval by the Senate.

 

Programme Structure

Programme can be completed in 4 years (PT), 3 years (FT).

Structure:

• PhD symposium (twice a year)
• Proposal Defense
• PhD candidates are expected to produce a thesis that embodies original research with significant findings. The thesis is expected to be a mature and competent piece of writing with no less than 60,000 words but not more than 100,000 words.
