About The Programme
The Diploma in Accounting (DACC) programme is designed to prepare students with the competencies that are functional, personal and provides a broad business perspective relating to the needs of the business organisations.
DACC allows for progression to professional accounting qualifications offered by ACCA and ICAEW.
Graduates can further choose to continue into:
- BSc. (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, Sunway University
- Bachelor of Business, Victoria University
- and other degree programmes.
Obtaining the Diploma in Accounting is the first step towards becoming a professional accountant.
Programme Highlight
A holistic and wholesome learning approach is adopted with the aim to provide students with a broad-based education, in areas of financial and management accounting, auditing and taxation to support organisational planning and decision-making in a variety of business context.
Student’s accounting skills are covered in the following subjects:
- Cost Management Accounting
- Principles of Taxation
- Malaysian Taxation
- Public Sector Accounting
- Company Law
Decision making and formulating organisational strategies to the profession are taught in modules such as:
- Business Organisation
- Management Accounting Techniques
- Introduction to Financial Management
Fundamental guidelines practised in auditing financial and non-financial information are taught through the:
- Audit and Assurance module

The major objective of the assessment and examination procedures is to improve student learning and measure their comprehension.
Final grades reflect:
– 40% Coursework
– 60% Final Examination

SPM / O-Level:
Pass with minimum 3 credits including Mathematics and Pass in EnglishUEC:
