About A-Level
Sunway College has been preparing students for the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Qualification over 30 years. The GCE A-Level qualification places emphasis on in-depth knowledge, deep understanding, strong reasoning abilities and critical thinking. It is a widely recognised pre-university qualification in the world. Sunway College A-Level programme has excellent delivery system and consistent academic performance.
Entry Requirements
Passed SPM, O-Level or equivalent with minimum five (5) credits including English.
Passed UEC with minimum three (3) subjects with Grade B including English.
English Language Requirement:
For students without a credit or higher in English:
IELTS – minimum score of 5.5.

January, March, April, July and September
Programme Structure
The A-Level programme is delivered over three semesters (January/ March/ July intakes) or four semesters (September intake).
Assessment and Examinations
100% examination-based
- 50% Advanced Subsidiary (AS)
- 50% Advanced Level (A2)
Examinations : June and November
A-Level programme practises the blended learning approach which combines face-to-face instruction and self-directed learning via an e-learning platform and the internet. Teaching and learning happens through a dual-mode approach. With this approach students are advised to bring their own electronic devices i.e. laptop or tablet.
Choice of Subjects
Students shall be required to choose a minimum of three (3) or a maximum of four (4) A-Level subjects.
