Program Description
Department of Bioprocess Technology is the first department in Malaysia to offer BSc. (Biotechnology) undergraduate programme for the undergraduate study. The main objective is to provide student with knowledge in the field of biotechnology with focus in bioprocess technology for production of biotechnology products and services. The department offers BSc. (Biotechnology) programme of 3 years including 5 modules that be selected by final year student according to their field of interests: food biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, plant biotechnology and molecular biology. All students have to undergo Industrial Training in the fourth semester. In the final year student, students are given the opportunity to conduct research project under the supervision of experienced professors. To be a student in this Department, the candidate must pass Matriculation (Life Science) programme or the Malaysian STPM.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Have received a National Higher School Certificate (or an A Level or the equivalent of 12 years of primary education) with the minimum grade of 80% and above, OR Have obtained a Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00; AND Have fulfilled specific entrance requirements for some programmes, particularly in the sciences field.
