Program Description
The Bachelor of Accounting program, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) was first offered in 1985. The curriculum of this program was designed by taking into consideration important features in producing graduates who will meet the needs of various sectors. These include accounting, business, banking, and public service sectors. To achieve this goal, the program curriculum was designed to incorporate the areas of specialization relevant to the various sectors. The Bachelor of Accounting is a professional program recognized by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Government as stipulated by Table 1, Accounting Act 1967. The general objective of the Bachelor of Accounting program is to produce highly skilled and trained workers in accounting, in particular, Chartered Accountants who are recognized by the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and other professional accounting bodies.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Have received a National Higher School Certificate (or an A Level or the equivalent of 12 years of primary education) with the minimum grade of 80% and above, OR Have obtained a Diploma from recognized Institutions with at least a CGPA of 3.00; AND Have fulfilled specific entrance requirements for some programmes, particularly in the sciences field.
