About The Programme
The development of medical biotechnologies is one of the major success stories of the last 20 years, and continues to revolutionise the world of medicine. Exciting new developments have led the way to new treatments to combat previously life-threatening diseases and to improve the quality of life. This programme will lead you through some of the most important developments, helping you to understand them and opening up a future world of innovation and discovery.
Graduates of the programme will find rewarding careers in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as in the health sector and in public policy, as society grapples with the complex issues that the rapidly changing world of medical biotechnology brings with it.
With a focus on developing research skills, this programme equips you for further studies at Masters or even PhD level, that can lead to cutting edge medical biotechnology discovery.
On successful completion of the programme, the graduates will also be awarded with a degree from Lancaster University. They will be awarded two certificates, making them graduates of both Sunway University and Lancaster University.

Specific Requirements
Pre-University: Pass 2 science subjects
The International Preparatory Programme (IPP) is an intensive six-month preparatory programme. International students or candidates from certain countries that want to take Sunway University’s certain degree programmes (for eg programmes in partnership with Lancaster University), they will need to take and pass our online six-month International Preparatory Programme (IPP) to be eligible to enrol on a Sunway degree programme that also leads to a degree certificate awarded by Sunway’s partner institution.
Students are required to pass all the subjects with C and above to qualify for this.
